Multispecies Fallow Innovation Project

The multispecies fallow innovation project is about building innovative equipment to allow incorporation of multispecies crops into the sugarcane monoculture. The aim is to find affordable solutions that allow growers to modify their equipment to enable them to plant seeds of different sizes at the same time, without increasing their work, tractor usage, or paddock preparations. The development of this practical, affordable equipment will pave the way for broadscale integration of multispecies cropping, with the direct benefit of improving water quality running off cane land in the Reef catchments.
